Intense discussions yesterday about women, entrepreneurship and empowerment at the WomenChangeMakers’ conference in the beautiful Casa Daros in Rio de Janeiro yesterday, 27th August. A Full house and high-level participation. We salute Jacqueline Pitanguy, for her forceful case on celebrating the gains for women’s rights in the past without relenting in the battle for the future; Eduardo Ferreira, for insisting on the need for financial education and management capacities in non-profit organizations; Adriana from Wal-Mart, for laying out the way in which corporations can support women through their core business and beyond; and our WCM Fellow Alice, for making a fervent case for lowering the bureaucratic barriers to entrepreneurship in Brazil.
